As fans of our handmade farmhouse cheddar will know, last week we launched www.cheddarometer.com following extensive research with scientists at Bristol University to uncover a formula to create your perfect cheese sandwich.
We are delighted to tell you that we have received a great response to Cheddarometer, with 6 pieces of national news coverage and a number of radio interviews that ran throughout the day on Friday 20th June. Since going live last week, Cheddarometer has received over 23,000 visits, a figure set to rise as more people log on to find out exactly how thick they need to slice their cheddar according to the fillings they most desire.
Watch this space as we plan to bring you further updates on the success of Cheddarometer. In the meantime, thanks for all your support and remember you can order any of the cheddars featured on Cheddarometer by clicking here...
After last years washout , the sun shone brightly on The Countess of Wessex as she attended the PDO lunch and presented Parkham farms with cups for both the reserve champion cheese and best PDO West Country Farmhouse cheddar. The show was a triumph for our other farmhouse cheesemakers too with a total of 40 medals and 7 special awards, just rewards for all the care and craftsmanship that goes into all our handmade cheeses.
