West Country Farmhouse Cheddar is the star of the show

It’s that time of year again. The Royal Bath & West Show takes place Wednesday 27 – Sunday 30 May at the Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, the heart of real Cheddar country. There’ll loads to do, see and taste, not least plenty of delicious handmade West Country Farmhouse Cheddar. Why not pay us a visit in the food hall and choose a wedge or two to take home. And if you can’t make it to the show, you can always order our cheeses online, throw a rug on the lawn and have a lovely picnic of your own. And if the weather tries to put a dampener on proceedings, gather the family at the kitchen table and rustle up a classic ploughman’s. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Royal ploughmans for the Countess

After last years washout , the sun shone brightly on The Countess of Wessex as she attended the PDO lunch and presented Parkham farms with cups for both the reserve champion cheese and best PDO West Country Farmhouse cheddar. The show was a triumph for our other farmhouse cheesemakers too with a total of 40 medals and 7 special awards, just rewards for all the care and craftsmanship that goes into all our handmade cheeses.
